01. Who are you ?
Artist biography:
Based in the city of Cajamarca, Peru, Javier is a producer and DJ who had contact with electronic music from an early age. When he was 16 years old he started to participate in various parties in his hometown and, cautious with the rhythms, decided to dedicate more time to his passion. Exploring modern mixing techniques, as well as searching for the right music, he constantly makes a name for himself by playing at events, recording podcasts, and working on his own productions.
Before going to a concert or preparing a recording, he takes time with the selection, check various tracks to find the corrections and thus create an incredible experience full of emotions for your audience. His style includes elegant themes and melodic compositions, a lot of intensity and beautiful atmospheres. From deep and dubious sounds to microhouse and minimalist cuts, the music Javier offers is engaging and introspective. At his young age, he participated in several important local parties organised by brands such as Octogonal, Moon Sound, Deep Motion, and Blankă Records.
In 2019, he was a finalist in the open call for DJs and producers Open Call feeder sound Now.
Now, in 2020, he is part of the independent record label Blankă Records, and he is also Co-founder of Dub & Deep Channel.

In addition, recently in 2021 he released tracks on labels such as Astral Music, Insectorama and recently by apnea label with his first « Ep Ilusión ».

Currently, a dedicated artist is working on new materials, so we’ll be hearing more music from him soon.

02. What are you listening actually ?
Now I’m listening to melodic music with a lot of feeling to find my own sound.

3. How you came to music ?
Since I was a child, music has always been present, over the years until when I was already 12 years old, navigating the internet , little by little I discovered new musical genres until I reached what today is part of my life, electronic music.

As time went by, that taste for mixing electronic music began, in order to share music and make people feel that they have a good time and create an incredible experience full of emotions.

At the age of 16 I began to participate in various parties, and that is how I began to dedicate more time to it, as well as researching music production. And since then I have remained constant in my passion: music.

4. What gear do you use in studio/live ?
In my home studio I use Ableton live software, my novation launchkey mk3 midi controller for the different melodies and chords, also Novation Launch Control XL to control panning, effects and volume, as well as to mix and make my own podcasts.

5. Do you have an anecdote or a memory to tell us about your music ?
The memories that I have very present in my life are to participate in the first video art festival Cajamarca 2019 held by the School of Art Mario Urteaga Alvarado, where I had the honor of doing a live set in the atrium of the Belen Church.

Also in 2020 I participated in a live set in the San Francisco Church – Cajamarca for a video mapping where Vj Jota also participated, it is a very beautiful memory

6. Which artist would you dream of working with?
Andrey Pushkarev and Janeret

7. What are your plans for the future?
To travel and meet new cultures and people, and taking with me music to share with the public.
